How do I place an order?

Place your order anytime 24 hours per day, 7 days a week using our website. Or you may call us at (844) 635-5275 during business hours. Our business hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 5:30pm and Friday 8:00am – 12:00pm.

How do I contact The AMMO Store?

How soon are orders shipped?

Most items ship within 1-2 business days of the receipt of your order. In general, if your item is placed before 12:00pm MST your order will be processed and shipped the same day. You will receive an email with tracking information once your item has shipped. Orders received after 12:00pm MST or on the weekend will generally ship the next business day.

All ammunition is shipped via UPS Ground or FedEx ground, as AIR delivery is not allowed for ammunition. USPS is used in some instances. Some states have restrictions for ammunition purchases and The AMMO Store is required to abide by those regulations.

Do you deliver ammunition to my location?

If your state is not listed in this FAQ section, we should be able to ship ammunition to your door with no additional requirements. However, laws and regulations on the sales and shipment of ammunition can change quickly and often. It is a good idea to know the laws and regulations in your area.

We are unable to ship loaded ammunition to the following locations:

  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Canada
  • All other international locations

Shipping to California:

Due to State law, all ammunition going to California must ship to a licensed FFL Dealer.

When checking out, if you agree to have the ammunition shipped to a licensed FFL Dealer and have confirmed with them that they will accept the ammunition, then just continue with your order as usual, or else return to your Shopping Cart and remove the restricted products. Any fees charged by the dealer are your responsibility and will not be paid by The AMMO Store. We are not able to take backorders on ammunition shipping to California.

Once you have placed the order, one of our Customer Service Representatives will contact you. At that time, you can select where you want the ammunition shipped. If you have multiple items in your order and not all are restricted, the items shipping directly to you will ship at the same time as the restricted items.

Shipping to Illinois and Connecticut:

Shipping to Illinois (other than Cook County) requires two documents – valid copy of your FOID (Firearm Owner’s Identification) card and valid copy of your driver’s license or IL state-issued ID.

Within Cook County all ammunition sells must ship to a valid FFL. Once you have placed the order, one of our Customer Service Representatives will contact you. At that time, you can select where you want the ammunition shipped. Any fees charged by the dealer are your responsibility and will not be paid by The AMMO Store. If you have multiple items in your order and not all are restricted, the items shipping directly to you will ship at the same time as the restricted items.

Shipping to Connecticut requires a copy of your Connecticut driver’s license or state-issued ID and a valid copy of one of the following:

  • Permit to carry a pistol or revolver
  • Permit to sell a pistol or revolver at retail
  • Eligibility certificate for a pistol or revolver
  • Long gun eligibility certificate
  • Ammunition certificate

Once you have placed the order, one of our Customer Service Representatives will contact you to obtain these two items. Your shipping address must match the address on at least one of the documents.

Shipping to New York:

Due to State law, all ammunition sales going to New York must ship to a licensed FFL Dealer OR a registered seller of ammunition.

When checking out, if you agree to have the ammunition shipped to a licensed FFL Dealer or registered seller and have confirmed with them that they will accept the ammunition, then just continue with your order as usual, or else return to your Shopping Cart and remove the restricted products. Any fees charged by the dealer are your responsibility and will not be paid by The AMMO Store.

Shipping to New Jersey:

For specific calibers of ammunition shipments to New Jersey require a valid copy of one of the following:

  • Firearms purchaser identification
  • Permit to purchase a handgun
  • Permit to carry a handgun

If your order requires one of the above our office will contact you once we receive your order.

Do you charge shipping?

If not otherwise noted, shipping will be calculated during check-out. In general, ground shipping is a flat rate of $18.00. Expect 3-5 days for delivery. The Flat Rate program applies to any US location reachable by Ground (excluding Hawaii and Alaska).

How can I return an item?

Firearms, Ammunition, and Food are not returnable or refundable; all sales are final. However, we take pride in our products and would like to work with you on issues that may arise. You can either call us at (844) 635-5275, email us at info@theAMMOstore.com, or use the Contact Us link.

Can I cancel or add to an order once it’s been submitted?

If your order has not yet shipped, we are happy to make changes to the order. Just send us a message or give us a call. Once your order has shipped, we are unable to make changes.

How can I pay for my order?

You can pay by VISA, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express. If you would like to pay by money order you may call our office to place your order.

Can I pick up my order?

YES, if you are in the Stevensville, MT area and would like to come and pick up an order in person you can do so during our normal business hours.

How can I find out if you’ve received my order?

After you complete your purchase, a confirmation page will be displayed with your web order number and order information. We’ll also email a confirmation to you, so be sure to enter your correct email address when placing an order. You may need to check your spam or clutter folder. Once your order has shipped you will receive a second email with your tracking information.
